The frustration
Lumina Gates began with a simple frustration: every safety gate on the market looked like it belonged in a warehouse. Plastic, pressure-fit, beige. Nothing that a parent or a pet owner would have chosen for the hallway they had spent years getting right.
The workshop
So we started building our own. Our workshop in Bursa, Türkiye works in two materials, optical-grade plexiglass and solid European oak, with the kind of joinery usually reserved for furniture: mortise-and-tenon frames, edge-polished panels, hand-applied oils and paints.
Made to your opening
No two homes have the same doorway, so no two Lumina gates are the same. Each one is built to the width and height you give us, in the finish you choose, and ships with the hardware to mount it securely. Then it is tested the only way that matters: by toddlers and tabby cats.
